Ocala Iberian Horse Photo Workshop

March 29th - 31st 2019 Ocala Florida

April 1st is a free extra day for those interested

This workshop requires two things, a passion for photography and a love of horses!

Get ready to be amazed. Firery horses, beautiful grounds and magical moments are yours to be had.

If you haven't visited Ocala Florida picture acres of green rolling hills leading to pastures of horses grazing near or under large sprawling oak trees enclosed by long stretches of wooden fences. Beyond the fences, horse barns appear adjacent to spacious country estates. You have just entered horse heaven and the location of my March Ocala Iberian Horse workshop.

Our host facility is known for it's top quality PRE and Lusitano horses, producing some of the finest bloodlines in the United States and the world and for 3 incredible days they are at our disposal.  Andalusians and Lusitano horses are spectacular to photograph beacause of the baroque bodies, extraordinary movement and amazing spirit. Few breeds can compare.

The workshop begins Friday afternoon March 29th at 3pm with a late lunch/early dinner before heading out to our first shoot later that afternoon.  During our mid-afternoon breaks I will offer business/marketing or post processing for those interested. I will also be taking the group to Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Gainesville during one of our mid-day breaks. We will finish with our final shoot Sunday evening just after sunset or last light. Those flying should plan their flights accordingly. There are several hotels I can recommend close to shopping and restaurants in either Gainsville or Ocala, which are both approximately the same distance from the farm.

April 1st, is an extra day I have planned with a former trick rider of Cavalia for those that would like to attend.  There will be no additonal cost for this shoot as it is just for fun and there are no specific plans.

What you need to bring: DSLR Camera, Lenses.  I recommend a 70-200 or 80-400 and a wide angle, such as the 24-120 and any prime favorites you may have.  A more detailed list will be sent to attendees closer to the date of the event. Remember plenty of memory cards.

Cost of the workshop is $1599.
An $800. non-refundable deposit will hold your spot and the balance is due 30 days prior to the workshop. Those wishing to pay by debit or credit card my do so below. Fees apply.  If you prefer to mail a check, please contact me at tamaragoochphoto@gmail.com to get my mailing address.

As always I recommend "trip insurance" to all of my workshop participants. Please visit the Workshop Booking Information Page. I will be happy to share the names of some insurance providers for those interested.
